Sound familiar?

Want to build an art career, but not sure how?

  • “I want to take watercolors seriously.”“Between work, the commute and family, I barely get time for painting. How long do I have to wait to be an artist?”
  • “I want to create realistic masterpieces with confidence.”“I’ve watched hundreds of YouTube videos, taken courses, read books and participated in workshops. My paintings still look amateurish. Will I ever be able to paint masterfully, all by myself?”
  • “I want to pursue watercolors as a profession, not as a hobby.”“My family thinks it’s a bad idea. My friends think I should just keep it as a hobby. I’m confused and doubtful. Is this for me?”
  • “I want to build a parallel source of income from art.”“I know artists who are highly skilled but have struggled to earn for years. Will I be any different? Is it possible to skip the struggle?”

I hear you. And you’re not alone.

I help busy full-time professionals become paid watercolor artists in just 12 months. Don’t take my word for it. Here’s what some of them have to say.

In their words

I was not a born artist, and I had no formal training in art before starting to learn under Meeta Mam for Mastering Watercolor Realism… After finishing my very first watercolor project painting in 3–4 months, I started earning from art within 30 days by conducting watercolor workshops.

Why I do this

Awards didn’t pay the bills. Business skills did.

I was a software engineer for over 10 years before I was an artist. I picked up watercolor in March 2015 while living in Seoul, with no formal training, and taught myself the way I approached code: break the problem down, find the logic, practice until it’s repeatable.

By 2017 I had published a book, I was teaching workshops, and I was winning international juried awards. I was earning, but inconsistently. I had the art skills and zero business skills, so I copied what other struggling artists were doing and hoped for the next lucky break. That lasted three years.

So I heavily invested in learning business skills from successful business mentors, and applied them to my art career. Between May 2019 and April 2020, my art business earned more than US$500,000.

I learned my lesson the hard way: art skills alone can’t help you earn. Awards and applause can’t pay the bills. That’s why my mentorship program, Mastering Watercolor Realism, teaches both: painting realistic masterpieces like a pro, and earning money from your art skills. I’ve taught watercolor realism to more than 10,000 people worldwide and business skills to hundreds of art professionals.

Now I want to help you skip years of struggle with my knowledge and experience.

It’s proven · It works · Here’s how

Three roadblocks. Three solutions.

Most working professionals face three roadblocks that stop them from becoming art professionals. This 12-month system is designed to solve each one in order, so you go from where you are now to becoming a paid watercolor artist.

Roadblock 1 · No clear path, no real skills

Solution: Structured & in-depth training

Outcome: Learn the language of art so you can recognize what makes art good, master each watercolor technique by painting it like a pro, and handle mistakes like a ninja instead of fearing them.

Roadblock 2 · Paintings look amateurish

Solution: Create professional-quality paintings

Outcome: Plan your masterpiece like a pro before you pick up a brush, then take your first sellable-quality masterpiece from start to finish exactly the way professionals do. Once it’s done, you’re ready to start earning, with my guidance.

Roadblock 3 · No idea how to start earning

Solution: Start earning from your art

Outcome: With the right grooming, you look, sound and act like a skilled watercolor professional. Learn the three ways to earn: selling paintings, taking commissions, and running online or in-person workshops. Choose the one that suits you and land your first 4–5 paying clients.

The roadmap to becoming a paid watercolor artist in 12 months.

In this free 58-minute Paint to Profit masterclass, I go deeper into the three roadblocks that stop most working professionals from becoming paid watercolor artists, show you how to solve each one, and explain how the whole journey fits into 12 months alongside your job.

Is this for you?

I only accept full-time working professionals.

This mentorship is built around a demanding 9-to-5. That’s who it’s for, and it’s who I accept.

This is for you if

  • You work full-time as a doctor, lawyer, engineer, IT or senior corporate professional
  • You love watercolor and want professional-quality, realistic paintings
  • You want to earn from your art, part-time now or full-time in future
  • You can commit about 2 hours a day for 6–12 months
  • You value structure, feedback and measurable progress
  • You understand and speak English

This is not for you if

  • You aren’t currently working full-time
  • You just want to relax with paint and aren’t interested in selling
  • You’re looking for quick tips and tricks, not a 6–12 month commitment
  • You want the result without investing time, effort and money
  • You’d rather jump between random tutorials than follow a structured process
  • You resist feedback and coaching

Questions

Before you book.

Do I need to quit my full-time job to become a paid watercolor artist?

No. You keep your job and build art income alongside it, part-time now or full-time later if you choose. My mentorship program is specifically designed to help you achieve that goal.

I’m a freelancer. Is this for me?

No. This mentorship is designed specifically for full-time working professionals. If you freelance or work part-time, a strategy call with me won’t help you, so please don’t book one.

How much time do I need to invest on a daily basis to become a paid watercolor artist?

It takes roughly 2 hours a day to learn and implement the knowledge to become skilled in 12 months.

I’m a complete beginner to watercolors. Can the mentorship program help me become a paid watercolor artist?

Yes. Joining my mentorship program doesn’t require any prior experience in drawing or painting with watercolors.

I can’t draw freehand. Can I still paint realism?

Yes. Most professional watercolor realists, me included, don’t rely on freehand drawing. They use tools like tracing, grids and projectors to get an accurate line drawing first, then paint. I teach you that method in about an hour.

What if I’m not talented enough and don’t get results in 12 months?

Painting masterfully with watercolors and earning money from it are both learnable skills. Neither has anything to do with “talent.” Diya had no formal art training before joining. She created complex realistic paintings within 3–4 months and started earning within the next 30 days. My program also comes with a guarantee: if you follow the process, do the work and still don’t get results, I’ll either refund your investment or keep working with you for free until you do. Full conditions are explained on the strategy call.

I’ve bought courses before and didn’t finish. Why is this different?

You get a structured order to follow, weekly live calls with me, feedback in the community and WhatsApp support between calls. You’re not left alone with a video library.

What does the 12-month mentorship program cost?

$5,000 paid in full, or $6,000 on a payment plan split over 2–6 installments. We’ll talk about what fits your situation during your strategy call.

What happens on the strategy call?

It’s a free, personalized one-on-one meeting with me on Zoom. I’ll analyze your current art skills, understand what you aspire to, and help you set clear art career and income goals. We’ll pinpoint your biggest roadblocks and map a realistic 12-month action plan to create your first large watercolor masterpiece and start earning as an art professional. If my program can help you reach your goals, I’ll show you how. Join only if you feel you need an experienced mentor. If I can’t help, for whatever reason, I’ll point you in the best direction.

How do I apply for the strategy call?

Click any “Book Your Strategy Call” button on this page to go to the booking page. Select a date and time that suits you, then fill out the short application form. It takes less than 5 minutes. Once you’ve answered all the questions, submit the form.

Can I register for the mentorship program without having a strategy call first?

No. Mastering Watercolor Realism is an invitation-only mentorship. Before anyone joins, I personally check that they qualify and that the program is the right fit for their watercolor career goals. The strategy call is how I do that.

I’m still not sure if this program is suitable for me. I have questions that aren’t answered here.

Please check the “This is for you if” section above. If you meet the criteria, go ahead and book your strategy call, and bring all your questions with you. I’ll answer every question you have about the program, honestly, before you decide if it’s right for you.

Twelve months from now

Just imagine creating watercolor masterpieces and earning from them this time next year.
